Already for the fifth time the Group 'Circus' organizes the Belgium Open Poker Championships. Last year
was a record year when 843 players participated in the Main event.
It was Dutch Sijbrand Maal that took home the title and 315.875€ in prize money.
This year the tournament is back with a week packed of poker action. The buy-ins vary from 100+10€ up to 1500+200€ for the Main event and there is even a 10.000+500€ Heads-Up team event, so there is plenty of choice for everyone.
Main Event
The Main event has a buy-in of 1500+200€ and is played over 9 days. Each day begins at 2pm.
21/11: day 1A - 10 levels
22/11: day 1B - 10 levels
23/11: day 1C - 10 levels
24/11: day 1D - 10 levels
25/11: day 2A - (1A+1B together) 10 levels
26/11: day 2B - (1C+1D together) 10 levels
27/11: day 3 - (2A+2B together) play stops when 36 players remaining.
28/11: day 4 – play stops when 9 players are remaining.
29/11: day 5 - Final Table.
All tournaments are played under the FIDPA rules.
Online qualifiers are running on:
- Pokerstars. You'll can find them in the main tourney lobby under: Belgian Open Poker Championships. There are $215 package qualifiers on the 25th of October and 22nd of November.
- Everest Poker is hosting satellites, you'll find them under the 'Steps' page where there is a final step of $350.
10.000+500€ Heads-Up Team Event
In this unique event teams of 4 persons battle it out against each other, only in heads-up matches. The
buy-in is 10.000+500€ per team.
It is a 2-day tournament with 2 starting days and a final day.

Satellite tournaments
Satellite tournaments are organized in the casino multiple times a week.
In Namur each Tuesday at 8pm, each Saturday at 8pm and each Sunday at 4pm.
In Spa there is a satellite tournament each Thursday at 8pm.
The buy-in for these tournaments is always 50+10€.
There is a possibility to do unlimited rebuys in the first hour.
After the first hour there is also a possibility to take an add-on.
For each 1.700€ in the pricepool one ticket for the main event of the BOPC will be awarded.
During the weeks before the main event extra satellite tournaments will be added. Therefore keep an eye on the calendar on our website.
Packages
Together with the hotel Beauregard, that is located in the same building as the casino, we have set-up a
special deal for the BOPC.
For the price of 2.500€ you can buy a full package.
This includes:
• 1 ticket for the Main Event,
• 6 nights in the hotel + breakfast (till 12am)
• 6 x 3-course menu in the restaurant of the casino.
The price for a extra person on the room, who also enjoys from the package offer is 150€ (or 1.850€ with a Main Event ticket)

Cash Games
Each day cashgames will be offered starting at 1pm.
No Limit Hold'Em cashgames with blinds starting from 2-2 till 20-40 (and higher on request) will be offered
Live Reporting - TV
Various media will cover the event and on the internet you will be able to follow a live stream of the featured table.
The complete event will be recorded and distributed to various TV-stations.
The presentation of the event will be done by Miss Belgium 2006 Virginie Claes.

The 2 nearest airports are:
Brussels National Airport (which is located in Zaventem just outside Brussels) http://www.brusselsairport.be From here you can go by train to Namen/Namur, a train every hour and ride will take ~1h30 with 1 change.
From Namur train station to casino it is about a 2km taxi ride.
A direct taxi ride from the airport is ~70km and take ~45 minutes.
Brussels South airport (which is located in Charleroi, 50km south of Brussels) http://www.charleroi-airport.com You can take a shuttlebus from the airport to the train station (15 min ride) and every half hour during the week and every hour during the weekend you have an direct train to Namur this ride takes ~35min.
From Namur train station to casino it is about a 2km taxi ride.
A direct taxi ride from the airport is ~40km and take ~30 minutes.
